This week I learned a very very valuable lesson! One professional resin is not another! Just because it is a professional resin and has one more feature that could be handy to your product it can have a very adverse negative affect on how machinable it is with hand tools! While the plate is unusable for me at least I know someone else that will be able to use it @turbocarbon πŸ˜„ The resin was so difficult to work with that I could saw a plate that was 2x as thick in the same amount of time it took me to saw it! So that told me that it was not the extra .5 mm extra thickness of carbon fiber in the new plate that was causing me to double/triple my work time per piece! In the picture is a piece of 8mm thick 50mm long x 20mm wide carbon fiber piece that I was able to saw out with my new saw in just 20 minutes! #carbonfiber #liveandlearn #lessonlearned #carbonfibre #resin #epoxy #handmade #lesson #trialanderror
